Chain harrowing with a tractor and 8-foot harrow is a light grassland maintenance job to break up manure, remove dead grass and moss, lightly aerate the soil, and level out bumps like molehills and hoof marks. Clients are paying for healthier, thicker grass growth, cleaner paddocks (with better manure distribution), More level ground for animals, and the convenience of having the work done quickly and professionally without needing their own equipment.

Haymaking is a full process that involves cutting, drying, gathering, and baling grass into usable forage, and using high-end kit like Claas Disco mowers, Kuhn tedders, Claas rakes, and a Massey Ferguson 1840 conventional baler means the job is done quickly, cleanly, and at the right timing. The mower cuts the crop efficiently, the tedder spreads and turns it to speed up drying, the rake forms even rows, and the baler produces consistent, well-packed bales. From the client's perspective, they're not paying for the machines—they're paying for high-quality, well-preserved hay, minimal weather risk through fast turnaround, neat, uniform bales that are easy to handle and store, and the reliability of having the whole process managed properly from start to finish during a very time-sensitive window.

Earth and manure removal is a loading and haulage job where material is scooped and handled using a 6ft grab or bucket, then transported away with a tractor and tipper or trailer such as a Ifor Williams 12ft trailer. This is typically done to clear muck heaps, scrape out yards, or move soil and waste from sites quickly and efficiently. From the client's perspective, they're not paying for the tractor or trailer—they're paying for a clean, cleared space, safe and efficient removal of heavy material, reduced mess, smell, and hygiene issues, and the convenience of having all loading and transport handled without needing their own equipment or labour. 

Arable & Crop care

Cultivating with a 2-metre cultivator is a deeper soil-working operation; loosening and breaking up compacted ground to prepare it for reseeding, planting. The cultivator improves structure, drainage, and root development while helping to control weeds and incorporate organic matter. From the client's point of view, they're not paying for the tractor or cultivator—they're paying for proper seedbed preparation, better soil health and drainage, improved crop or grass establishment, and the ability to turn over or renovate land efficiently without doing it themselves.

Grassland and Forage

Bale collection is the final stage of the haymaking process, where bales are gathered from the field and transported to the yard or storage using tractors, trailers, and loader attachments. With equipment like multi-bale grabs (handling around 8 small conventional bales or 2 large 6-string bales) and a spike for round bales, the job is done quickly and with minimal manual handling. From the client's perspective, they're not paying for the trailers or loader—they're paying for fast, efficient field clearance, reduced risk of weather damage by getting bales in quickly, safe handling with minimal bale breakage or loss, and the convenience of having all bales collected and stacked without needing their own labour or machinery.

Estate & Groundworks

Telehandler or loader work using a machine like a Manitou telehandler or a Massey Ferguson front loader is a versatile material-handling service used for lifting, moving, stacking, and loading a wide range of materials such as pallets, bales, muck, feed, or construction supplies. It's commonly used on farms, yards, and building sites where heavy or awkward loads need shifting safely and efficiently. From the client's perspective, they're not paying for the machine itself—they're paying for safe and precise lifting of heavy loads, fast loading and unloading that saves significant manual labour time, versatility across different jobs and materials, and the ability to get work done quickly with minimal disruption on-site.

Topping with a Fleming 5ft single blade topper is a grassland maintenance job where you cut down rough, overgrown grass, weeds, and rushes to tidy up fields and encourage fresh, even regrowth. It's typically done after grazing or when pasture has become stemmy and unpalatable, helping reset the sward so animals will graze it better next time. From the client's perspective, they're not paying for the topper itself—they're paying for cleaner, more usable paddocks, improved grass quality and regrowth, weed control, and the overall appearance and manageability of their land without having to do the work themselves. 

Small-scale wood chipping is a land management and waste reduction service where branches, brash, and small timber are fed through a chipper and turned into woodchip for mulch, biomass, or easy disposal. It's typically used after tree work, hedge cutting, or site clearance to quickly reduce bulky green waste into a compact, usable form. From the client's perspective, they're not paying for the chipper itself—they're paying for fast clearance of woody waste, a tidy and usable site with no piles of debris left behind, reduced disposal costs through on-site processing, and the option to reuse woodchip as mulch or ground cover instead of transporting waste away.
